This semester saw some major personnel updates. We said goodbye to two treasured lab members who have been with us for several years, Shelby and Brittany. Shelby was a research technician for nearly four years and decided to take on another assignment working in fisheries monitoring in Alaska. We’re excited to see what she learns up there and will miss her levity, total commitment to teamwork and lab cohesion, and all of her hard work. Brittany moved to Minnesota to work in Jeff Gralnick’s lab as a Senior Researcher. We’re still finishing up a couple papers so Brittany is not totally free of us, but we already miss her dedication and professional approach to research, her engagement in everything we did, and her great scientific mind. The lab will not be the same without either of y’all.
On a different note, Hasti was awarded the GRFP this year! Huge congratulations on a big win. We’re very proud of you!
