With the easing of research restrictions at USC due to vaccination and decreased transmission in LA County, we’ve been able to welcome Cole back to the lab, and have hired two new undergrad researchers, Lauren Teubner and Conner Kojima. Lauren is working with Jordan Coelho on culture-based analyses, and Conner is working with Eric on analyzing our new, massive 28-sample coastal metagenomic dataset. Lauren’s position is funded through the NSF, and both Cole and Conner received Dornsife SURF funding for their summer research- congratulations! We’re excited to have y’all in the lab and looking forward to what you can do this summer!
